PFA-SBT Level 6 Credentialing Course: Advanced Education, Application, Implementation & Supervision (Level 4 Prerequisite)

Course Description

PFA-SBT Advanced Course: Advanced Education, Application, Implementation & Supervision (Levels 4-6 Credentialing Included)

This course is for PFA-SBT Credential Level 4 professionals who would like to advance to Level 6 and receive supervision from an FTF instructor while they coach at least two new implementation teams (e.g., lead implementer and a client for each team) from case conceptualization and planning through implementation of PFA and SBT. This course can be taken individually or in a triad with two lead implementers with a minimum of Level 1 credentials, who can then achieve a Level 5 credential through this course.

This course will consist of 37 hours of synchronous and asynchronous instruction, including 3 hours of pre-recorded video instruction, weekly interactive lectures, and review of case-specific SBT implementations, team-specific supervision, and troubleshooting. All classes will be conducted via video conferencing software (i.e., Zoom), which is free to download and use. Dropbox will be used to share and upload weekly implementation content.

A pre-requisite for taking the course is having at least two new implementation teams (i.e., lead implementer and a client for each team) and respective clients that will consent to participation (i.e., videos of implementation and supervision must be shared in class) in this applied course. The course is designed to guide the Level 6 candidate in their indirect coaching and support of new implementers of the PFA-SBT process, including the design and implementation of PFA and initial steps of SBT as well as treatment extensions.

Attendance in all live classes and completion of on-demand content will yield 14 Type 2 BACB (3 ethics, 4 supervision) continuing education credits for Level 6 candidate. Attendance in the two designated live classes (see schedule), completion of an SBT Generalization workbook, a final case presentation, and completion of the on-demand content will yield 9 General Type 2 BACB continuing education credits for the two Level 5 candidates. Completion of all on-demand content and attendance in all live classes, and presentation of implementation and supervision progress are necessary to achieve Level 6 credentials. Completion of all on-demand content, attendance in the 9th and last live classes, completion of the SBT generalization workbook, and a final presentation of case-specific implementation are required to achieve Level 5 credentials. Credentialing fee for level 5 and 6 candidates is included in the price.

Pre-requisites for level 6 candidates:

Level 4 credentials already achieved

Pre-requisites for level 5 candidates:

Level 1 credentials already achieved
