International Communities of Practice Live Course Offerings

FTF is excited to announce the launch of our International Communities of Practice Live Course offerings, starting in January 2024. These courses are designed to empower international communities by providing professionals worldwide to participate in live classes and receive support from an FTF consultant and an International Partner Instructor, fluent in their preferred language.

Important Note: Please be aware that the live classes will be conducted in English and will not include transcripts. Your International Partner Instructor (IPI) will be available to assist and clarify content in your native language as required. We kindly request that all students be prepared to communicate in English during live sessions.

Course Title: FTF’s PFA-SBT Introductory Live Course (Level 1 – 4 Credentials)

Language Community: Arabic, French, Russian, Italian, Spanish

FTF PFA-SBT Credentials: Levels 3 and 4

CEUs: 18 (BACB or IBAO)

Course Description:

This course is appropriate for professionals who are new to the PFA and SBT process as well as those who already use it in their daily practice but would like a supervised experience in their application of the process with a specific client. This course can be taken individually or in a dyad (lead and support implementers).

The only pre-requisite for taking the course is having a client that will consent to participation (i.e., videos of implementation to be shared in class) in this applied course, no prior education or application required. The course is designed to guide the lead implementer (and the support in the dyad) in their application of the process for one of their clients from case conceptualization through implementation of initial SBT CAB branches.

This course will consist of 36 hours of synchronous and asynchronous instruction, including 8 hours of pre-recorded video instruction presented by Dr. Greg Hanley, weekly interactive lectures, and review of case specific SBT implementation and troubleshooting. Attendance in live classes and completion of on-demand content will yield 18 continuing education credits (BACB or IBAO). Three of the credit hours will be dedicated to ethics and four will be dedicated to supervision.  Attendance in live classes and presentation of implementation progress are necessary to achieve Level 4 (lead implementer) and Level 3 (support implementer in a dyad must also attend all classes) credentials. Credentialing fee for lead and support implementers are included in the price.

All classes will be conducted via video conferencing software, such as Zoom, which is free to download and use. Dropbox will be the platform used for sharing and uploading weekly implementation content.

With academic requirements on par with university or college-level courses, attendees can anticipate:

  • Guidance and assistance from licensed, board-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs and BCBA-Ds), published researchers, and seasoned practitioners.
  • Dedicated support from International Partner Instructors (IPI) who possess extensive experience in coaching clients through all phases of our processes and are proficient in your preferred language.
  • The opportunity to cultivate their education, knowledge, and practical experience, enabling them to effectively assess and address severe problem behavior, ultimately earning up to Level 4 lead implementation credentials.
