Assessment, Treatment, and Prevention of Sleep Problems: Education, Application, and Implementation
This course will allow a professional-caregiver dyad the opportunity to learn about a behavioral approach to understanding and treating sleep problems. Each dyad will have the opportunity to conduct a sleep assessment and design a personalized sleep treatment, begin implementing the plan, and receive feedback and problem-solving assistance as the plan is implemented. Although not required, this course is most suitable for a professional who has a client that will consent to participation (i.e., assessment and treatment data to be shared in class) in this applied course.
The course will consist of 12 hours of instruction. Six hours will be dedicated to interactive lecture and review of the Sleep Assessment and Treatment Tool (SATT) and six hours will be dedicated to design and application with Q&A and coaching provided by Dr. Ghaemmaghami.
