Course Description:
Practical Functional Assessment and Skill-Based Treatment: Level 2 Education, Design and Enhanced Application Support
This course is for professionals who are new to the PFA and SBT process as well as those who already use it in their daily practice but would like access to expert-led planning and trouble-shooting of their PFA and initial steps of SBT for a specific client. Although not required, this course is most suitable for a professional who has a client that will consent to participation (i.e., assessment and treatment data to be shared in class) in this applied course.
This course will consist of 16 hours of synchronous and asynchronous instruction, including 8 hours of pre-recorded video instruction presented by Dr. Greg Hanley and weekly discussion, and case-specific review, and collaborative problem-solving of PFA and SBT planning and implementation. Attendance in live classes and completion of on-demand content will yield 12 Type 2 BACB continuing education credits. Two of the credit hours will be dedicated to ethics and two will be dedicated to supervision. Attendance in all live classes and presentation of PFA and SBT implementation planning for a specific case are necessary to qualify for Level 2 credentials.
All classes will be conducted via video conferencing software (i.e., Zoom), which is free to download and use. Dropbox will be used to share and upload weekly implementation content.
