FTF’s Intermediate PFA-SBT Design Session

Designing CAB Branches informed by the IISCA (i.e., CAB3-6)

Description:

These sessions are for professionals who have already completed the 10-hr On-Demand CEU training presented by Dr. Hanley on PFA-SBT OR the 12-hr On-Demand CEU Training on PFA-SBT for Implementors presented by Drs. Hanley, Ruppel, and Cammilleri, have designed and implemented an IISCA for a client in their care and are ready to design an SBT CAB Branch up to CAB6.

Note. Attendees must hold Level 2 or higher credentials or have certificate of completion of both the education component of the process (through either the 10-hr on-demand PFA/SBT training, the 12-hr on-demand Implementor course, or live FTF workshop) and the application components (an FTF-led Introductory PFA-SBT Design Session).

FTF’s Intermediate PFA-SBT Design Session will be conducted via zoom in small groups with an FTF Senior or Lead Consultant. This is an additional capacity-building opportunity with an FTF Senior or Lead consultant who will model the use of backward design in building a treatment branch. Attendees will learn to:

  1. Describe a variety of suitable replacement behavior chains for different clients and settings
  2. Refine treatment goals based on PFA results
  3. Use backward design to plan shaping steps toward those treatment goals
  4. Individualize decision-making about what to prioritize based on client strengths, needs, and values.
  5. Maximize safety, televisibility, and rapport throughout skill building

Successful completion of this design session yields 5 BACB CEUs (General). While individual questions and problem-solving is encouraged, unique cases may be better addressed via an individualized consultation.

Pre-requisites & Requirements:

  • Minimum of Level 2 Credentials OR certificate of completion for the education and application components of the PFA-SBT Process (i.e., PFA-SBT on-demand course and FTF Introductory Design Session)
  • Completed PFA for one client
  • Group sharing of PFA-SBT workbook with at least one completed branch via Zoom Group Chat

Agenda:

10:00 – 11:00 AM EST:  Consultant reviews an example with design tips.

11:00 -11:30 AM EST:  Attendees work individually on PFA-SBT workbook to design analysis and initial steps of SBT

11:30 – 12:00 PM EST: Attendees join zoom breakout rooms with other attendees to review completed workbook.

12:00 PM EST:  Attendees upload their completed PFA-SBT workbook to zoom chat.

12:00 – 3:00 PM EST: Attendees rejoin consultant on zoom meeting to review completed designs. Each attendee will have a dedicated opportunity to ask questions and receive feedback from the consultant and other attendees on their specific case using their completed workbook.

This design session features the opportunity to receive 5 BACB CEUs. Meeting invitations and Zoom links for the synchronous events will be sent at least one week prior to the scheduled event. Participants are encouraged to accept these meeting invitations so as to ensure FTF’s synchronous events populate your time zone. Only registered attendees may attend FTF’s synchronous events. Full attendance with video is necessary to obtain the allocated CEUs. CEU certificates for the synchronous events will be provided via email within one week of the event.
